A very fruitful Dutch Port & Corridor Trade mission from the Netherlands to Johannesburg took place from 24 until 28 June 2013. Many different site visits, master classes, matchmaking sessions and seminars were taking place with the decision makers of the southern African Port & Corridor industry. Part of the mission was the participation in the Ports & Harbours Show 2013 in Johannesburg.

Matchmaking & hot spot visits
We were delighted to have such a diverse delegation, consisting of many sector specific experts; BAM, KPN, Coram, Forkliftcenter, Fugro, Port of Amsterdam, Smart Sensor Solutions, STC-Group, Tygron and Welfit Oddy. Relevant matchmaking sessions ensured useful business connections. Site visits to the head office of Transnet and Tambo Springs gave the Dutch experts the opportunity to see the fast moving industry themselves.
Holland Pavilion draws attention
The Holland Pavilion was the place to be for the delegation of 10 Dutch companies during the Africa Ports & Harbours Show. The pavilion functioned as the hot spot where many successful interactions were created between the Dutch companies and companies from (South) African decision makers and government institutions.
Master classes at Africa Ports & Harbours Show
The participants of the mission provided interesting master classes during the Ports & Harbours Show in Johannesburg. Amongst others, Smart Sensor Solutions informed its master class participants about the new communication platform and the applications that focus on ports and infrastructure. Curious?
